Have you ever found the most amazing places while traveling? Originally, we were going to include this with all of the other Ogunquit travel but decided it deserved it’s own mention! We just happened upon this treasure while visiting picturesque Ogunquit Maine. This is one of the most creative and amazing places we have happened upon in a very long time and just have to share it with everyone!

We loved this place so much that we are not being compensated for sharing our opinion on The Sassy Olive in any manner.

We were intrigued as soon as we saw the sign. The Sassy Olive! WHAT? A tasting room for olive oil and balsamic vinegar? How could this possibly be? The shop is so creative and tastefully decorated. Truly a hidden gem! The next time you are in Ogunquit Maine, you need to make sure to take the time to experience all the different olive oil and balsamic vinegar offerings. Don’t worry, if you can’t afford to buy all of the ones you love at once, you can order them online later. Bonus; if you live close enough, you can get a discount by returning with your empty clean bottle from a prior purchase (please inquire with The Sassy Olive for details).

How can you resist tasting all of the different flavors? Let’s start with some of the olive oils. Bacon infused olive oil; DID YOU SAY BACON? If that is not enough, how about black truffle olive oil? If you love spice, you may want to try citrus habanero or chipotle infused olive oil. How about blood orange, garlic or Greek Kalamata and who doesn’t love Herbs De Provence? There is so much more…you will need to visit to experience for yourself! Each silver canister is clearly labeled with the contents and has tasting cups for you to drizzle the olive oil or balsamic vinegar from the spout for your tasting pleasure!

The Serial Chef has created a recipe using the Star 25 White Balsamic Vinegar from our purchase! We called it Sassy Shrimp Scampi a.k.a. The Triple S. It is Shrimp Scampi with a twist and a bit of sass. It has a distinctive yet tantalizing flavor. The key ingredient is the Sassy Olive Star 25 White Balsamic Vinegar; so please don’t substitute!
