Honey Kissed Cornbread with Vanilla Honey Butter
This cornbread is kissed with honey and served with honey vanilla butter! It makes a great side for just about any meal. Serve it warm and top it with the honey vanilla butter.

Honey Kissed Cornbread
- 1 cup Cornmeal
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour
- 4 tbsp Butter Softened (1 tbsp to grease pan)
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tbsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Fine Salt
- 1 cup Buttermilk (whole)
- 2 Eggs
- 3 tbsp Honey
Vanilla Honey Butter
- 1 Stick Salted Butter Softened
- 2 tbsp Confectioners Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Buttermilk (whole)
Honey Kissed Cornbread
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Use 1 tbsp of the softened butter to grease an 8 or 9 inch square pan.
In a large mixing bowl, add the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, granulated sugar and salt. Combine well.
Make a well with the dry ingredients and then add the buttermilk, eggs butter and honey. Fold the dry ingredients into the liquid ingredients gently until combined. You do not want to over mix.
Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown on the top. Add a small amount of vanilla honey butter (see below for recipe) to the top and let cool for 5 minutes. Serve with the extra vanilla honey butter!
