Tantalizing Tastes at Tinos Kitchen + Bar

Tantalizing Tastes at Tinos Kitchen + Bar

I would like to start out by saying we were not compensated in any way for this raving review! It was truly spectacular and I felt I needed to share it!

Our weekend night started out as it typically does. My husband John; “Where do you want to get a bite to eat?” Me; “I don’t know, where do you want to go?” John; “I don’t know, what do you feel like eating?” Me; “Anything!”

So we get in the car and start driving to a local restaurant. Then I say, “Let’s go to a restaurant in Hampton NH”, that I will not name, because once we got there and went inside, it was hot and humid and wall to wall people, the interior looked like it was in need of a desperate update; we weren’t impressed! We looked at each other and said let’s go! Back in the car and back to the drawing board! “Where do you want to go?” at this point it doesn’t matter who said it.

“Let’s go to The Galley Hatch”, which was right down the street from the unnamed restaurant. We pulled into the parking lot and as we found a spot, we noticed a second floor where people were eating outside. We hadn’t been here for a quite a while. The Galley Hatch is still there on the first floor but to us, that second floor restaurant was new. The name on the outside leading to a set of stairs said Tinos Kitchen + Bar. We decided that was where we wanted to be!

The pleasant host informed us the outside has seating and the same menu but no bar. We wanted to dine at the bar, so we opted to stay inside. It was a humid night anyway, so the air conditioning was welcomed! We will definitely come back and dine outdoors in the future.

The decor was classy and modern! What a quaint restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised to happen upon this hidden gem 💎! We were immediately welcomed by Matt and his partner in crime, Colin. There was only one choice for Pinot Grigio by the glass, Tiefenbrunner, Italy and Pinot Noir by the glass, Lange, California, so that made deciding easy! We were given a taste test first to ensure the wine was as delicious as described…and of course, it was too!

While we sipped our wine, we decided to get some background about Tinos. Matt was more than obliged to fill us in and was very boastful about the food quality. We would decide for ourselves! The kitchen is open for you to enjoy watching the culinary team in action. The bartenders have an extensive list of innovative cocktails, all of which looked absolutely delicious! The drinks we tasted were out of this world. The dinner menu looked absolutely fabulous.

Award winning and innovative cocktail menu

We both decided on the filet mignon, mine with brussels sprouts and bernaise; his with bordelaise and asparagus. The food was as exceptional as Matt described. This will become one of our favorite spots that we will frequent!

We ended the night with liquid dessert…espresso martinis. When I say tantalizing tastes…I mean everything! What put these martinis over the top was the Creme De Cacao A La Vanille. I may need to change my espresso martini recipe from here on out! I can learn a thing or two from these guys!

Espresso Martinis

If that isn’t enough, they even have a tableside cocktails menu! We will definitely need to check that out when we bring friends to join us at a table!

So, all in all, after the usual “where do you want to go” back and forth, it ended with a great night and a great find. I hope you will go visit after enjoying this story! If you are from out of the area and ever decide to visit the beaches of southern NH or north of Boston Massachusetts, make sure to stop in for dinner! They take reservations directly on the website through Open Table, so be sure to reserve online or call ahead to reserve your table in advance! See you there!

What a great find! This place looks amazing. My husband and I would do the same thing you two did on deciding where to go… I don’t know… where do you want to go? It doesn’t matter, anywhere is fine. LOL.
