In September 2018, we had a wedding to attend near Camden Maine. We decided to make a long weekend trip out of it. We had a luxurious trip to Camden Maine, where we stayed at 16 Bay View and in Cape Neddick at Cliff House.

On our drive, we saw this restaurant with a giant lobster on top of it! The Taste of Maine Restaurant is located in Woolwich Maine. I had seen this on Facebook before and had no idea we would drive right past it. I made my husband turn around so we could get photos. There are signs stating not to stop on the roadway, so we pulled into the parking lot to be safe. We really would have gone in to try the food but we would have spoiled our appetite for the rehearsal dinner we were on our way to attending that evening. I still want to try it some day.

The wedding rehearsal dinner was Friday evening and we decided to leave from home early Friday morning, in order to have plenty of time to get to the hotel and get settled, unpack , freshen up and grab a cocktail on the rooftop bar of the hotel. We decided to stay at 16 Bay View Hotel in Camden Maine. It was the most posh boutique hotel we could find within a reasonable distance to the wedding venue. It did not disappoint! It was as luxurious as it looked on the website. Ay caramba…look at the size of that tub!

We settled into the hotel, unpacked, freshened up and went up to the rooftop bar. What beautiful scenery! I believe we may come back for a visit in the summer when it will be much warmer. It wasn’t too cold yet and there were propane heaters to make it even more enjoyable.

It was a beautiful day for the wedding and we had a wonderful time! The wedding was held at a residence right on the ocean, they served wonderful cocktails, appetizers and dinner.

The next morning we were on our way home but first we would spend a couple of nights at the Cliff House in Cape Neddick Maine. This is truly an exceptional hotel with scenery and sounds of the ocean that is so calming and beautiful! We stayed in an oceanfront room that had a balcony. The room was large, luxurious and magnificent. Again, I wish the weather was warmer but it was still a great place to visit. We will definitely return at some point. The sounds of the ocean against the cliffs was amazing. You can see for yourself by viewing the videos below. One video was taken during the day and one was taken at night. I love listening to both!

Cape Neddick Maine Ocean sounds against the cliffs during the day, directly from the balcony off the room.

The hotel Tiller Restaurant is as exceptional as the scenery. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was fantastic. It is surrounded by windows overlooking the cliffs and the ocean. Take a look for yourself sometime or enjoy it through the pictures I have provided below of our journey both from inside the restaurant and out.

The trip to Camden and Cape Neddick was truly amazing and beautiful! Both areas are something that should be considered.

That is a big tub. I am glad that you were in it to show the size. We have stayed at resorts where the photos made the tube look huge but then when I went to get in the tub, it was not huge. 🙁

I’m all about staying at a place with crashing waves…I could just do that and be content. And the boutique hotel also looks fabulous especially the rooftop bar…and that massive tub!
