This is a super easy recipe for a chicken roaster! This recipe calls for thyme not time! Mix together some ingredients and smother the chicken with it and sear it and put it in the oven. Then make the gravy and voila…dinner is served! Absolute deliciousness!
The chicken 🍗 roaster was a little over 5 lbs. We served this to four people and had leftovers for the two of us another night during the week. We served it with roasted potatoes 🥔 and broccoli 🥦.
What do you need for ingredients? An oven safe pan, chicken roaster (save the giblets from inside the chicken), a whole lemon, thyme (not time), olive oil, Knorr’s chicken bullion, water, garlic, parsley and white wine. Save the chicken juice when removed from the oven to add to the sauce.

Tasty recipe thanks. I like the fact that you give information about leftovers. I cook ‘leftovers’ every day for lunches the next day! I will be trying your recipe. Thanks.
Gillian…let us know what you think after you get a chance to make it!
Wow, thanks for sharing this recipe. It has introduced a few new techniques for cooking chicken. And, it’s absolutely delicious!
Thanks Anne! So easy and delicious!
This looks so easy that even I could do it! (I am not a cook, I typically warm things up…)
Thanks Traci! I hope you give it a try.
