A tribute to Notre Dame in Paris as a fire ravages the Iconic historic structure!

The photos below of Notre Dame are Memories from a trip to Paris, France in November 2008.

What a terrible tragedy! | Quelle terrible tragédie!

I am truly honored that we had the opportunity to visit Notre Dame prior to this tragic event. I am even more grateful that we have these beautiful photographs that will be cherished!

Unfortunately, the spire and the roof were totally destroyed in the fire!

I did see a very moving photo (as I update this article) after the fire showing the cross and the masterpiece in the above photo unscathed!

The beauty of the Notre Dame Cathedral is unparalleled to anything I have ever seen! I know they will rebuild, but that will take years, and it is unfortunate others will have to wait a long time before it will be reopened to the public.

As I update this article a couple of days later, the news is reporting on the devastation and showing pictures from a drone…the devastation is enormous! For now I will continue to look at the photos above from our trip that shows the true beauty of what was and what will be restored in future!
